Only a few weeks after our display in Cannes our journey took us to the beautiful and historic city of Berlin, in the Olympic Stadium no less for the prestigious 2015 Pyronale event. The event began in 2006 and continues to grow from strength to strength.
The show was split into three different sections: one minute of pyrotechnics with no music in green and violet, four minutes of pyrotechnics to a song of the organisers’ choice, and ten minutes freestyled display with the competitor’s choice of songs. The songs had to be within the theme of the competitor’s home nation. This format was unusual for the industry, but we welcome the level of standardisation in the competition, which creates an even playing field, but still leaves room for individual creativity. Amongst Pyrotex chosen tracks was We Will Rock You by the immortal heavy weights, Queen. This choice was born out of our desire to showcase the best of British talent in an international arena.

Come showtime nerves and anticipation were high however the show fired without a hitch, my favourite section was the criss crossing single shot section and the multi break shells during the opening section of the display which was truly incredible. The whole display was perfection throughout, probably one of our “cleanest” displays to date, Incredible timing to the music, symmetrical choreography and a huge mixture of spectacular effects, truly tremendous.
Once again, the efforts of the Pyrotex Family were amazing and we are pleased to say that we left with the Silver Vessel. The whole experience left us very proud and humbled, especially with such a strong line-up and made us more than ready for what would turn out to be our busiest November season, Christmas and New Year to date.
