Ian Yorke
Ian is one of the longest serving members of the Pyrotex team with around 15 years’ experience. He shows a consistently high level of skill in all fields of the pyrotechnics industry and is more than happy to show our trainee firers the ropes.
Ian is not one for traveling abroad so he is often called upon for our larger displays in the UK and his passion, humour and enthusiasm often keeps the rest of the crew in check and on schedule when on site. A great and highly valued member of the team.
Q&A With Ian
From when I lived in Blackpool where they had the fireworks display in front of the Blackpool tower on the beach. I’ve loved them ever since.
I work for a local logistics firm for a well known high street brand.
There have been plenty but the most memorable has to be driving a golf buggy to transport the product from the van to the site. I don’t think I drove too bad for saying I don’t have a car license!
Being on top of a hill in the the lake district in the beaming sunshine setting up a display for a wedding. You could see for miles!
A great laugh and always great to catch up with crew members you haven’t seen for a while.
I like to have a laugh when out on site but I also like to be safe too! I also love showing new crew members the ropes.
