In July, our guys Mark, Mel and Pete jetted off again and joined up with Kath and Graham from Pyro2000 in Italy. Once there the guys checked into the hotel, unpacked, and headed out for some evening R&R, they even ended up grabbing an early night! Which is unheard of with our crew! On prep day, the temperature in Italy was far from pleasant and was likened to working inside a volcano. The crew spent long days on site working in the crazy heat and ended up with a firing site stretching 11 single shot plates wide with 3 shell stations for the 15-minute show.
The atmosphere surrounding the competition in Italy was a tense but enjoyable event. This was the first year for them, holding the competition and so the locals were unsure of what to expect while everyone else was working double time to ensure the cogs of the new competition ran smoothly for all involved. And my, did they! The competition was a wonderful experience that we all enjoyed deeply and working with Pyroemotions was a pleasure for us all.

The Setup
"As it turns out they were not the only ones who enjoyed the show as we were later awarded both public and Gold Prizes with the title “International Festival of Dancing Fireworks Public and Jury Gold Prize 2016”
The organisers actually used a clever tactic to pull in those who were still unsure on the competition by using one of their jumbo screens to show that nights World Cup Germany vs Italy game. This brought the crowd who then stayed for the shows.
The atmosphere on the night was unbelievably exciting and everyone was raring to go. The show was marvellous and fired without a hitch throughout. After the show all our crew were left feeling delighted. As it turns out they were not the only ones who enjoyed the show as we were later awarded both public and Gold Prizes with the title “International Festival of Dancing Fireworks Public and Jury Gold Prize 2016” Our experience in Italy left us elated and looking forward to the coming months.
